In the book Kerouac runs away from three years of hard living brought on by fame and into the arms of a small secluded cabin on the coast of California's Big Sur, he lasts about three weeks before he starts going insane. This album is near perfect if you enjoy Kerouac, dusty vocals and a tinge of alt country. After several listens you'll settle into the rhythm of Kerouac's cadence in a whole new way, thanks to Farrar's ability to merge the book lines with the art of lyric.
