TVT Records and Moderati Form Strategic Mobile Media Partnership
Moderati to exclusively represent TVT Records, including platinum artists Lil Jon and the Ying Yang Twins, to all major US carriers for ringtones and ringbacks
New York, NY and San Francisco, CA (August 14, 2006) - TVT Records and Moderati Inc. announced today that they have formed a partnership to distribute ringtones and ringbacks of TVT artists to all major carriers in the United States. Under the terms of the deal, Moderati will be the exclusive representative for all master recording-based ringtones and ringback tones from TVT artists, including Lil Jon, the Ying Yang Twins, and Pitbull. The deal deepens the existing relationship between the two companies, bringing together the leader in independent music with the top provider of wireless content to the decks of US carriers.
TVT Records is America's #1 independent record company and recently celebrated its 20th year of discovering and breaking some of the most revolutionary recording artists. The label's eclectic roster runs the gamut from multi-platinum Crunk master Lil Jon and the Grammy-nominated Ying Yang Twins to indie royalty Ambulance LTD and the Latin hip-hop star Pitbull. According to the Billboard ringtone charts, last year TVT artists held the #2 and #6 spots on the ringtone charts. In 2005, TVT was the only free-standing independent label to receive a Master Ringtone Sales Award from the RIAA for Lil Jon's "What U Gon' Do." Lil Jon's latest smash "Snap Yo Fingers" is currently Top 10 on every major carrier.

Moderati will collaborate with TVT on distribution strategy, file production and merchandising. This frees TVT to concentrate on developing new creative offerings from the label's artists.

Over the upcoming months, TVT Records will release master mobile products from the upcoming Pitbull, Lil Jon and Ying Yang Twins albums as well as up and coming hip hop artists Yo Gotti, The A'z, Magic, Da Muzicianz, Twisted Black, and rock acts such as Towers of London and The Cinematics. Many artists will be creating unique content exclusively for mobile.
