Modtones DJ available to MetroPCS Customers
Real music ringtones from today's hottest artists now available for download
San Francisco, California - September 27, 2004 - Faith West announced today the launch of Modtones DJ, the first music ringtone application for subscribers of MetroPCS. Modtones DJ offers a catalog of hit singles and tracks from key artists. The new format is a compressed version of the original recording, including vocals, so users can download real music right from their MetroPCS phone.
Modtones DJ features licensed tracks from major and independent record labels, offering some of the most popular artists available for download. Artists from many genres and many generations make up a catalog that appeals to all demographics, with a particular emphasis on hip-hop and urban tracks.
As part of the @Metro platform, Modtones DJ is the newest ringtone provider to MetroPCS. @Metro allows MetroPCS customers to purchase and download, from the handset, a variety of games, ringtones, entertainment options and productivity programs - anytime, anywhere.
Faith West launched Modtones in June of 2002, distributing polyphonic ringtones to cellular users via small files that re-create the instrumentation of popular songs. Since the launch, Faith West has added new content types to Modtones, including sound effects, comedic clips and voice tones. The launch of Modtones DJ is another step in the evolution of mobile content.
